Let's start our day the right way! Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest the night before school and begins their day excited about new adventures! Reasure them that school is a great place and how proud you are of them!
Make sure they get a great breakfast either at home or here at school! There is a reason that most experts say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
Create a routine at home so that mornings and evenings are easy! Make a place in your home to put important papers (like a basket on the kitchen counter or table) and a certain place to put your child's bookbag everyday. Choose an obvious location, such as a chair by the door. Give your child the responsibility of their own bookbag and its contents--its a good way to help them learn independance and ownership!
**Remember that wearing tennis shoes (or bringing tennis shoes to school) is important because we need them for gym class and when we go outside!
*** **** Lots of children are having difficulty tying their own shoes....please practice at home! Your child needs to tie their own shoe. It's just part of growing up and taking care of ourselves!
**If the weather permits, we try to go outside for recess everyday!
